BIOMATLINK presented the results of NCDC to the success of the TIGORS project

On 31 October 2023, BIOMATLINK presented the results of utilizing accurate and precise geospatial data from the National CORS Data Center (NCDC) to benefit the success of the TIGORS project, at the Jasmine City Hotel in Bangkok. The presentation took place in the Sakura Meeting Room on the L floor of the Jasmine City Hotel, Bangkok.

Led by our IT Expert Engineer, Mr. Chaiwat Bootchai, the BioMatLink team presented their findings on “Using NCDC to increase product yield in supply chain management in the cassava industry.” The presentation highlighted our determined efforts to overcome industry challenges and the transformative potential of highly accurate geospatial data.

Our journey took us to a demonstration farm at the Digital Purchasing Point in Tung Pra Ya, Sanam Chai Khet District, Chachoengsao Province, where we conducted experiments to push the boundaries of precision agriculture.

A key highlight of our presentation was the introduction of the innovative BIOMATLINK BOX device and Dashboard component, a tracking module that attaches sensors for precise monitoring of cassava plantations. This revolutionary system streamlines planting, precisely determines geospatial coordinates, counts cassava trees, and even estimates expected yields. The result is a higher level of accuracy, enabling improved field inspections and streamlined maintenance processes. Integration with NCDC drone images further enhances efficiency by reducing manual labor requirements.

By infusing technology into our processes, BioMatLink has successfully increased production for our farm members, setting an ambitious target of at least 6 tons per rai compared to the previous 3 tons per rai.

In the afternoon, Mr. Chaiwat Bootchai, also our Project Technical Lead, represented BioMatLink at a user meeting with the NCDC data user group. This collaborative session allowed for the exchange of thoughts, feedback, and suggestions, further paving the way for the expansion of our project’s user base.
