Campaign day to control and prevent the spread of cassava spotted disease

On September 13th, 2019, the Chachoengsao Province Governor, Mr. Rapee Phongbupkit, officially opened an event “Campaign day to control and prevent the spread of cassava spotted disease” aimed at controlling and preventing the spread of spotted leaf disease in cassava crops. The ceremony, held at the Ban Khok Phasuk multi-purpose hall in Tambon Tungphraya, Amphoe Sanam Chai Khet, brought together local officials, farmers and community members to raise awareness about the disease and take action to curb its spread.

This event was supported by BIOMATLINK, a company that specialize in solutions and technologies for sustainable agriculture. During his speech, Governor Phongbupkit highlighted the importance of community involvement in preventing the spread of the disease and praised the efforts of those working to keep the cassava crops safe, he also acknowledged BIOMATLINK’s support in making this event happen. He also urged the farmers and community members to work closely with the local authorities and to follow the best agricultural practices to protect their crops and livelihoods.

The event included educational sessions on the disease, its causes, and preventive measures, as well as a demonstration of the techniques and technologies provided by BIOMATLINK to control the disease. The event was a success and received positive feedback from the attendees. The Governor and the local authorities have pledged to continue their efforts to protect the cassava crops and support the farmers in the province, with the help of BIOMATLINK’s expertise and technology.
